Artificial intelligence is no longer science fiction. During my presentation, I will talk about the increasing application of AI/Deep learning and how we at SK can benefit from joining and being part of this developing story.
A few headlines: "Microsoft AI Beats Humans at Speech Recognition", "Google's artificial intelligence can diagnose cancer faster than human doctors"; "Deep learning algorithm does as well as dermatologists in identifying skin cancer"; "AI Boosts Cancer Screens to Nearly 100 Percent Accuracy." The new technology that has brought all this progress is called "deep learning", which is a kind of a machine learning. Deep learning is made possible by the computational power of GPU, development of CUDA technology, availability of data from the internet, and deep convolution neural network.
Deep learning not only made large companies like Google, Facebook more profitable - it has also brought many opportunities to organizations like our institute.
