Abstract
Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) Angiography imaging of human retinal vasculature is rapidly becoming a clinically-relevant imaging modality. Though many academic groups and several commercial vendors have demonstrated imaging systems and processing techniques which reveal angiograms of the retina, no single approach has emerged as clearly superior. We have constructed a hybrid OCT imaging system which incorporates a video rate scanning laser ophthalmoscope that renders high-quality, motion-corrected angiograms of the subject’s retina. The talk will explain many of the technical details and merits of the imaging system and angiography algorithm used to capture and render the images. It will also showcase images of cases commonly seen in our ophthalmology clinic, such as intermediate and late-stage AMD, diabetic retinopathy, and special cases like central serous retinopathy.
