Low Vision Support Group 1/6/16: The aging eye

Event Date

Wednesday, January 6th, 2016 – 3:00pm

Abstract

For our first meeting of the year, Dr. Natela Shanidze will present information on the aging eye. The eye undergoes a number of changes as part of the normal aging process. Some of these changes can be completely benign, while others become a source of vision loss and blindness. In today’s session we will discuss The four most common causes of vision loss in the aging process (macular degeneration, glaucoma, cataracts and diabetic retinopathy) as well as general information about eye anatomy and related phenomena.

Both she and Dr. Don Fletcher will also answer any questions you may have about your vision.
